BAREROOT APPLE TREES FOR SPRING 2025 SHIPPING

The apple varieties listed below are orchard favorites and highly recommended for fresh eating. Many of these varieties also make fantastic cider due to their high sugar content and ample acidity. I've highlighted a few standouts in the "Also Cider!" section.

I offer one hint as you go about your selection: Hone in on the 'ugly' apples. How did such unremarkable fruits find hospitable homes for centuries without fail? Flavor, my friend, flavor.

Unknown Parentage, Herefordshire, UK 1600s

Golden Harvey is yet another example of a fantastic apple discriminated against for its small size. Personally, I most often prefer devouring 2" apples like doughnut holes over committing to a single, large apple.

Golden Harvey delivers intense sweetness with an equally potent pineapple acidity. With crisp, juicy flesh, Golden Harvey is a delicious dessert apple that also makes fantastic cider.

Golden Harvey trees bear fruit at a young age, and are vigorous enough to compete with weeds in the low-maintenance orchard.
